How was mercury glass created? A new style of glassware emerged during the 19th century. It was a silvery style known as mercury glass. It took years for the art form to be perfected. All around the world there were many secret methods for producing mercury glass. I don’t know this as a fact, and these are the things we may never know… but I was told, that the speckled style was first I inspired by a technique inspired by Italian artisans, but French artisans perfected the multi-dimensional antiqued mirror effect. For the fragrance I thought I’d blend two of wonderful elements of Italy and France together. The national flower of Italy the Lily and the Champagne grape from France. Next the color of amethyst would really allow the mercury to “pop” and essence of amethyst is enchanting.
