A Toast to Sammy - Mid-Century Glass
Many stories Roy shared about impromptu gatherings were always engaging and some, as one might imagine, were rather scandalous. The night was never complete without Mr. Sammy Davis. If the party wasn’t going at the speed he thought it should, Sammy and Frank had signals to incite the mood they were striving for. There was another side to the shenanigans of Mr. Davis, too – he loved to cook! He and Roy discuss food, frequently. They talked and shared the latest “secret” ingredient that took their cooking to the next level. When Sammy cooked, his free hand always had a drink. He had a couple of favorite cocktails and one was the Cuba Libre (rum, coke and lime). Sammy preferred this cocktail Spanish style – with dark rum instead of the traditional clear rum.
Top Note: Caribbean Dark Rum
